Phantom Shapes is a horror-comedy game meant to be fun to play with others. These guidelines exist so everyone can enjoy it. They apply to voice chat, text chat, display names, cursed-shape designs, and any other way you interact with other players.

1. Not okay, ever

  • Harassment or bullying: targeting another player with repeated, unwanted, or abusive behavior.
  • Hate speech and discrimination: attacking someone based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
  • Threats of violence or self-harm.
  • Doxxing: sharing another player's real name, address, workplace, or other identifying information without their consent.
  • Impersonation: pretending to be another player, a developer, or Nasser Made Games staff.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any sexualized harassment.
  • Cheating: using unauthorized software, exploits, or automation to gain an unfair advantage.

2. Voice and voice clips

Voice chat and the Phantom Echo feature exist to make the game funnier and scarier to play with real people, not to be turned into a surveillance or harassment tool. Specifically:

  • Do not record another player's voice outside the game (screen recording, external capture software, etc.) and share it anywhere without their consent.
  • Do not use Phantom Echo clips outside the match they occurred in. Echo clips exist only in memory during a round, for gameplay. Extracting, saving, or redistributing another player's voice captured this way is not permitted and is not something the game itself supports.
  • Do not use voice chat to harass, threaten, or repeatedly target a specific player once you can identify their voice.

3. Things you make (shapes and names)

  • Cursed-shape designs must not contain hateful symbols, slurs, sexual content, or content designed to harass a specific person.
  • Display names must not impersonate another player or contain slurs, hate speech, or harassment.
  • Text chat is held to the same standards as voice chat. The game always hides slurs and bad words in names and chat for everyone. The Filter bad words setting only changes what you see. No filter catches everything, so players and the host of the room still deal with it.

4. What you can do

You can mute any player for yourself, and leave any room at any time. The host of a room can kick or ban players from rooms that host runs. If something serious happens, write to us at nassermadegamesstudios@gmail.com with as much detail as you can (the approximate time, what happened, and a screenshot if you have one).

5. What happens

Hosts decide what happens in their own rooms. We read the emails we get. For threats, child safety or other illegal content we may tell the authorities where the law requires it.

6. What is not covered yet

The bad-word filter knows English and a few common Arabic insults only, so it will miss things. There is no ban that applies across every room. A host's ban applies only to that host's rooms. We are not claiming more than this.
